Dr. Scott Webster received his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario before moving to Vancouver, where he received his Ph.D. in Physics and Master of Applied Science in Engineering Physics degree from the University of British Columbia.

His doctoral dissertation, titled “Growth and structure of yttrium sesquioxide epitaxial films” focused on the characterization and analysis of crystalline films for laser waveguide applications. Scott has filed several patent applications as co-inventor and has authored a variety of scientific papers.

Since joining Coanda in 2012 his work has concentrated on advanced instrumentation, mixing studies, and pipeline transport of non-Newtonian fluids. More recently Scott has focused on applying data science, statistical, and machine learning techniques to industrial research problems, acting as a technical lead and project manager for projects in a variety of sectors.
