Tanja Tomkovic Ph.D.

Dr. Tanja Tomkovic joined Coanda in 2019 bringing experience in polymer engineering including polymer synthesis and characterization using various analytical, thermal, rheological, and mechanical techniques. Since joining Coanda Tanja has worked on various projects related to rheology and mixing of complex fluids and scale up process.
Tanja obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC) where she developed new high-performance polymeric materials with distinguished self-responsive properties. She developed several techniques to characterize mechano-rheological properties of polymers with associating groups.
Previously, Tanja completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Polymer Engineering at the University of Belgrade in Serbia developing novel polymeric membranes for water purification, capable of chemically binding heavy metals and organic dyes.
