Burnaby, BC – Coanda announces expansion
Coanda Research and Development Corporation is excited to announce the forthcoming relocation of its Burnaby, B.C. headquarters to a new and larger facility in the Glenlyon Business Park in South Burnaby. The move to the new facility is slated for Q1 2020 and will more than double the capacity of its current space.
The new purpose-built location will feature over 70,000 sq ft of space, including 50,000 sq.ft. of laboratory and office space with a further 20,000 sq.ft. available to support Coanda’s future growth. The Glenlyon location places Coanda in the heart of the lower mainland’s high-tech business district, and its closer proximity to the Vancouver International Airport supports the company’s growing portfolio of global clients.
“As we have continued to grow over the past two decades, the constraints of our current location have until now necessitated the separation of our team and infrastructure across several buildings. This new location will allow us to unite our workforce and facilities to deliver a more streamlined service for growing volume of clients and gives us room to accommodate future growth” – Darwin Kiel, Coanda CEO.
…supporting growth…
Since it was founded in 1995, Coanda has maintained its headquarters in Burnaby. 2007 saw the completion of the first major expansion to its current 20,000 sq.ft. location. In the intervening years, the company has expanded into neighbouring buildings to reach the current 35,000 sq.ft. size.
The new facility is located in South Burnaby, in the prestigious Glenlyon Business park, bringing its headquarters closer to Vancouver and the International Airport. The new location features 30,000 sq.ft. of laboratory and experimentation facilities and 20,000 sq.ft of modern office space, with another 20,000 sq.ft. earmarked for ongoing laboratory and office expansion.
