Dr. Ruixu (Rachel) Wang joined Coanda in 2022. She obtained her Ph.D. from the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of British Columbia, where she developed a novel fluidized bed reactor for biomass thermochemical conversions. This technology has been licensed for commercialization.
Her work was related to characterizing solids mixing in gas-solids fluidized beds, evaluating reactor performance for biomass torrefaction and gasification, and reactor modeling. Rachel has years of experience in the design and commissioning of novel fluidized bed reactor systems and pilot-scale circulating fluidized beds.
She is based at our Burnaby branch, and assists in the delivery of physical modeling programs.
